First Experience Glass

Location: 1945 Jackson Road Unit C Columbus, Ohio 43223

All materials provided.

The Process:

Participants can choose to create one of these: A glass paperweight, ornament, heart-shaped paperweight, pulled flower or a pumpkin.  It usually takes about 30-40 minutes per person.  You choose from one of those items and the artist will help you create it. Choose your colors then apply the colored glass to the piece. You’ll use a variety of tools to manipulate and shape your paperweight. After the glass is sculpted, your glass piece is placed in an oven to begin the annealing process. Your glass piece will need about 24 hours to cool to room temperature.  Each participant will be able to take their glass objects home with them after the annealing process is done.
